Vat ​Sirimoungkoun Xaiyaram

Located in the heart of Luang Prabang's old town "The Temple of Great Auspiciousness" was founded in 1763 by Phaya Kang Mungkhun. SInce the recent addition of a side veranda the layout appears somewhat unusual . Within the monastery grounds is an unusual two storey library (Ho Trai) building.

Vat Sirimoungkoun is listed in the UNESCO Heritage Inventory as #465
