"Victorious Mountain Temple" found by King Anourut in 1791 was named after the original Buddha image here "The Buddha of War Victory" which the king and his generals would pray to before going out to war. After a fire the original sim fell into a state of disrepair and was replaced by the current concrete structure in the 1970's. Unfortunately the monastery's old and reputedly beautiful library building, Ho Tai, has not survived.
