Vat Phanom Nakharam
ວັດຜານົມ ນາຄາຣາມ

The village of Ban Phanom is famous for its Thai Lue heritage reflected in the continuation of traditional weaving, metal working and dancing. The temple at Ban Phanom also maintains many traditions of the Thai Lue. The sim dates from the 1950's. Also noteworthy is the two storey sala in mixed Lao-colonial style, similar to Sala Thammavihan at Vat Souvanna Khilli that was built by the senior Thai Lue abbot Pha Chanpheng Chanthasara (b.1900-d.1978)
