Vat Pa Fang

Monastery of the Sappanwood Forest" founded in 1799 by Sene Mu Xa. The original building had four bays and a porch and was later extended (date unknown) to the current five bays with larger porch [Rampon, 2003].
Since the 1940's Vat Pa Fang has been merged with Vat Pa Khe as Vat Siphoutthabat.
Within the monastery grounds is a large two storey building that was used before 1975 as a school for teaching monks Pali, Sanskrit and Khom languages. It is now a Buddhist meditation centre.
