Vat Ban Nounsavath Soukharam
ວັດບ້ານນູນສະຫວາດ ສຸຂາຣາມ
Village temple at Ban Nounsavath, on the road to Luang Prabang railway station featuring a large chedi at the rear. Although the temple and location is not especially remarkable today, according to Lefèvre (1898), a member of the famous Mission Pavie that explored the region, Nounsavath situated north of Phou Suong, was the probable location of the original town of Mueng Sua that pre-date Luang Prabang [Quoted in The Enduring Sacred Landscape of the Naga].
